Sportevents goes big in 2027 with four triathlons: two trusted classics and two brand-new challenges!

Triathletes, get ready for 2027! Sportevents is significantly expanding its triathlon calendar and presenting no fewer than four triathlons next year. Two established events will be joined by two brand-new challenges. And although we are not laying all our cards on the table just yet, we can already reveal that there is something special on the program for every type of triathlete!

Two classics that cannot be missed

Two familiar names form the foundation of our triathlon calendar for 2027.

The Cave Triathlon in Kanne, near Maastricht, celebrates its 10th edition next year. This unique race, with its spectacular passage through the marl caves, has grown into a staple on the Belgian triathlon calendar. A special setting, a challenging course, and a fantastic atmosphere make the Cave Triathlon a race you must experience at least once.

The City Triathlon Deinze is also back on the calendar. This popular city triathlon will reach its 13th edition in 2027 and remains a regular fixture for both novice and experienced triathletes.

Two new triathlons on the way!

But that's not all. Behind the scenes, Sportevents is hard at work on two completely new triathlons aimed at taking the 2027 calendar to the next level.

Where and when will these races take place? We're keeping that a secret for now!

What we can reveal, however, is that we are consciously opting for variety. Both fans of shorter, explosive distances and triathletes who prefer longer challenges will find plenty to like.

And when it comes to the courses, it promises to be particularly interesting. Do you love fast, flat courses where you can go all out? Or are you more a fan of serious elevation gain and challenging climbs? In 2027, both types of athletes will get their money's worth.

Over the coming weeks, we will gradually reveal more details. The two new triathlons will be officially presented later in October and in November, including their locations, distances, and courses.

One thing is already certain: with four triathlons, Sportevents aims to offer a varied calendar in 2027 focusing on speed as well as endurance, flat courses as well as climbing.
